Students who maintained a high grade point average for their grade were eligible for this honor. The junior class hosted the annual Crush soda sale this week. The Crush soda sale happens every year around Valentine’s Day, where students can purchase a soda for their “crush” or friends. Students were able to purchase a soda with their name on it for $1, make it anonymous for $2, or add a note for $3. Last Friday night, December 8, the Linsly School Arts program performed in the winter concert. Performers included Middle School Choir Classes, the Middle school and Upper School Band, and the Strings. The Middle School Choir sang some holiday classics, which included “Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree”, “White Christmas”, and “A Caroling We Go”, as they also entertained the crowd with a choreographed routine to Madonna’s “Holiday”, and each grade performed a traditional American song. The Oglebay Institute Youth Ballet Company recently concluded their performances of The Wizard of Oz last Monday. Many of our own Linsly students participated in this performance! Students included Sydney Gilman, Claire Carson, Analise Baker, Katherine Carson, Maddie Taylor, Chloe Patt, Georgie Mamakos, Marlee Smith, and Cecelia Sweeney. As we are entering the halfway point of the first quarter, students had the opportunity to sign up for clubs! On Thursday, students attended the club fair where they were introduced to a variety of clubs and learned about what they had to offer.  The club fair is held every year and allows students to become more involved in the community.
