On Friday, October 17th, the Linsly Cadet Football Team battled Dover for our Homecoming game held at West Liberty University. The game ended in a win for the Cadets, with the final score being 35-27.
Outstanding player of the night was Malaki Washington with twenty-five carries, two hundred yards, and three touchdowns. Other honorable mentions include Justin Heckman with four catches, and fifty yards; Preston Hartley with ten carries and thirty-two yards; Georgie Mamakos with nine carries, fifty-six yards and a touchdown. Additionally, Lucca Troullos had a touchdown along with three carries and two catches; and Joaquin Zarur had five PATs. After the conclusion of the game, the cheerleaders and student section joined the football team on the field to congratulate and celebrate the victory. Overall, the football team had a very successful night!
The football team will travel to Parkersburg South this Friday for their last Friday night game of the season.
