Local Legend: Mr. Cartwright

Local Legend: Mr. Cartwright

Almost everyone in our community has heard of Mr. Cartwright. Whether as a teacher, coach, or even supporter, Mr. Cartwright seems to be everywhere! Starting in 1991, Mr. Cartwright has dedicated his career to teaching his students all there is to know about History. Currently, a US History teacher, Mr. Cartwright also has experience teaching Civics.

Mr. Cartwright has a wife of 29 years, and three children: one girl who is currently a sophomore at Connecticut College, and two sons who are working. After school, he loves to run with his beagle, and read books, normally consisting of historical fictions, non-fiction, and history. He loves watching football, baseball, and wrestling, and rooting for his favorite teams. Mr. Cartwright is a dedicated baseball coach, and recently accomplished 300 wins last April. Even though he only coaches baseball, he never has an off season. Mr. Cartwright volunteers his time as a bus driver to and from our athletic contests. He truly is an asset to our community, and represents what a true Linsly teacher is. We cannot thank him enough for all of his efforts!

In closing, Mr. Cartwright wants to thank his students and colleagues for giving him a truly wonderful 33 years.
