On Saturday, February 1st, the Linsly Cheer Competition Squad competed at the 2025 OVAC Cheer Competition. The girls have been working hard for almost five months, perfecting and practicing their routine multiple times a week for many hours a day. In a very difficult division, the girls placed fourth out of seven teams. The 3A division at cheer OVACs is considered to be one of the hardest divisions in the competition. It includes Wheeling Central, Union Local, Barnesville, Bellaire, Martins Ferry, and Fort Frye. The girls scored overall higher compared to previous years. Sydney Gilman, a two year competitive cheerleader, expresses, “We worked very hard this season, and went on the mat and gave it our all.” Ultimately, the girls had an impactful season. Great job cadets!
