On Tuesday, December 10, the Linsly Boy’s Basketball team had their first home game of the season! They played Austintown Fitch in the Stifel Field House at 6:30PM.
The team’s starting five players included Adam Gill (10), Jaxon Murray (2), Uros Petrusic (20), Ruben Salazar (41), and D’arrae Goodwin (11). The boys played a close game, and ended up securing the victory 78-60. Adam Gill was the high scorer on the team with 17 points, and Jaxon Murray followed closely with 15 points. Jaxon Murray, in a post game interview with Ohio Valley Sports Online, was commended for his “sharing of the ball” showing the team effort that it took for the win.
The game also had great student turn out. The student section participated in a “white out” and the cheerleaders cheered on the boys!
The next close to home game is the Wheeling Central Catholic Game at Wheeling Central on January 7, at 7:30. Make sure to come show your support for the Boy’s Basketball Game!
