Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Sarah Allen

Teacher Spotlight: Mrs. Sarah Allen

If you’ve stepped into Mrs. Sarah Allen’s Algebra II classroom this year, you’ve probably noticed two things right away: her kindness and her energy. In her very first year at our school, Mrs. Allen has already made a lasting impression on students and staff.

Before joining our school community, Mrs. Allen taught at Warwood Middle School, where she built a strong foundation in helping students grow both academically and personally. Now, she brings that same passion and dedication to her Algebra II classes. Mrs. Allen makes math engaging through her colorful notes and exciting in-class games.

Students often describe Mrs. Allen as “so nice,” and it’s easy to see why. She creates a classroom environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions and participating. Her patience, positivity, and constant encouragement have helped many students build confidence in their math skills. It’s no surprise that she has quickly become a favorite among her classes.

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Allen also serves as the middle school volleyball coach. On the court, she brings the same encouragement and enthusiasm that she shows in Algebra II. Her players appreciate her supportive coaching style and the positive team environment she creates, making her just as valued in athletics as she is in academics.

This year is especially exciting for Mrs. Allen for another reason—she is expecting her first child, a baby girl! As she prepares to become a mom, her students have enjoyed sharing her excitement. Between lesson plans and late-night grading, she, her husband, and dog have also recently moved to campus to become dormitory parents, making this year full of new beginnings both professionally and personally.

Balancing a new school, a new home, and a growing family would be overwhelming for anyone, but Mrs. Allen handles it all with grace and a smile. Her warmth and dedication have already made a big impact on our school community, and we are so lucky to have her.
