For Cali Blass ’27, the people have made the season unforgettable. “The girls are my favorite part,” she shared. “Every year we get so many new faces, and it’s always exciting to meet girls I might never have crossed paths with otherwise.” Pieter Oosterhaven ’27 agrees, saying that soccer has not only helped him improve as a player but also strengthened his circle of friends. His favorite memory? Their very first game. “It was incredible to step on the field with my teammates,” he said. While some might think the big matches would be the most memorable, many players find the simple moments just as special; goofing around on the bus or relaxing after practice together.
As the season winds down, the team leaves with a clearer sense of its own potential. Pieter believes the group has “so much talent” and “incredible potential,” but he knows that success comes from blending that talent with strong teamwork – something they’re determined to keep building. Cali’s advice for next year’s players is simple: “Show up, especially for preseason, and be aggressive on the field. Never be scared!!!”
