The Class of 2025 Celebrates Senior Week and Graduation

Senior week kicked off nearly two weeks ago on Monday with a celebration of the athletic achievements of the graduating class. The day featured 2 events: the Senior Athletic Recognition Ceremony held during school at 2 PM, and the Upper School Spring Athletic Ceremony at 7 PM. These ceremonies honored the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of the senior athletes, creating a memorable start to a week filled with many exciting activities. On Wednesday, seniors enjoyed the “Lifer Luncheon,” a special tradition where Linsly lifers gather for a celebratory lunch at Mr. Zimmerman’s residence. Thursday was dedicated to shirt signing day, where students joined together to sign each other’s uniform shirts, creating memories to carry into college. On Friday, while lower classmen were working on their performance assessments, seniors went to Kennywood amusement park for a picnic lunch and a day filled with rollercoaster fun. Then, last Monday started with the senior brick laying ceremony, a way for seniors to leave their mark on the school and solidify their legacy. The day continued with “Matt’s day,” a day dedicated to beautifying campus in honor of a previous maintenance director, Matt Petri, which ended with a picnic lunch at Mr. Zimmerman’s residence. On Tuesday, the seniors went white water rafting in Ohiopyle, Pennsylvania. The seniors then had graduation practice at 9 AM on Wednesday which followed with a trip to a Pittsburgh Pirates game. The senior class dinner and Linsly prom were held last Friday, and the week ended with graduation today, Sunday May 25th. As the class of 2025’s senior year came to an end, the fun memories made this year will remind everyone of the friendships formed and the exciting adventures that lie ahead.
