Making an Impact – Project PB&J Puts Together 800 Meals For the Unhoused Community

The Linsly community has come together to successfully complete “Project PB&J,” an initiative started in November to help feed the unhoused community in Wheeling during the cold winter months. Each week, a group of volunteers put together meal bags, which include a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, to be distributed with the help of “Street Moms.” Students from all different groups joined with one goal: to help those in need. Both the boys and girls basketball teams, the cheerleaders, Girl Scouts, middle schoolers, prefects, and other compassionate students came together to make Project PB&J a success. Additionally, Project PB&J would not have been possible without Lexington Food Services and other generous donations to help keep the project going. In total, the Linsly School made 800 meals for the local unhoused population. In doing small things each week, it is possible to make a big difference in the lives of others.
