The Linsly Spanish Club brought back their celebration of the Mexican holiday, Día de los Muertos. Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is celebrated on the first and second of November. On this holiday, those who have passed are honored by their families. The families create “ofrendas,” which are food offerings and pictures of the departed. Due to the new club meeting schedule, they met last Thursday and shared a presentation created by the club leaders, to learn all about the holiday.
“We tried to show the true Mexican culture through a presentation and show what Día de los Muertos is really about.”-Vice President Chase Labritz
