As Swim season has come to an end, the boys and girls swim team had a very successful OVAC meet on January 22 at Brooke High School. The boys and girls both placed first overall for their division.
This win was the fifth straight OVAC title for the boys’ team, and the second straight for the girls’ team. Congratulations to Chiara Chieffo, Anna Norman, and Tuana Ozdemir who won all four of their races. Additionally, junior, Tuana Ozdemir, broke two school records in the 100-meter butterfly and the 100-meter freestyle. In total, the teams won twelve races. The girls won the medley relay, the 200 freestyle, the 50 freestyle, the 100 butterfly, the 500 freestyle, the 200 freestyle relay, the 100 breaststroke, and the 400 freestyle relay. And the boys won the 500 freestyle and the boy’s 200 freestyle relay.
Congratulations to the boys on winning their 64th OVAC Title and to the girls on winning their 13th OVAC Title! Good luck to those competing at Easterns!
