Girl’s Basketball Comes to an End

Girl’s Basketball Comes to an End

The girls basketball team’s season has recently come to an end after a tough game at Caldwell. The girls have been competitive throughout this year and finished the season with a 6-16 record. Although it wasn’t the wanted outcome, the girls never gave up and continued to fight.

The team made the most out of every game and fought until the final buzzer no matter what the season threw at them. Losing senior starter Alayna Cook to an injury forced the Cadets to adjust about midway through the season, and they did as junior Reagan Scherich stepped into a starting position for the remainder of the season and contributed in numerous ways. She joined Haylen Cook, Jade Purpura, Abby White, and Rosa Sohlberg at tip-off.

The girls team also was able to look at the bench for help. Addison Grubler and Addy Strauss contributed quality minutes for the Lady Cadets this year, always willing to put out a strong effort in difficult situations. This was a year of perseverance and growth for these girls, and they’ve proved to have lots of grit in them- a very promising characteristic to carry over into next season!
