It’s time to embrace the holiday season! And there is no better way to do so than watching The Linsly School’s very own middle schoolers perform in the play Santa’s Radio Hour! The show stars thirteen middle school students in an ensemble piece set in the 1840s. The play is an old-fashioned radio show where callers call in to talk to Santa. It is sure to highlight comedy, nostalgia, and warm genuine feelings. Impressively, the show is written and directed by choir teacher, theater teacher, and Extravaganza Director, Erin Gallagher Bond. Mrs. Bond shared that she loved writing the piece and wrote the whole thing in one sitting. Additionally, she loves being able to see the cast’s personalities come out in their characters and watch them embrace their roles. Mrs. Bond’s goal is to build the theater program at Linsly and keep making it stronger. The show will be held in the cafeteria on Friday, December 1, at 7:30 pm and is roughly one hour long. Additionally, as a fun pre-show performance, “The Snowflake Dancers” or middle school dance club, will perform an entertaining dance number to a holiday hit at the beginning of the show! So, if you’re free on December 1 and want to get into the holiday cheer, come on out to The Linsly School at 7:30 pm. Mrs. Bond stated, “Santa’s Radio Hour will touch your heart and usher in the Christmas season!”
