This week, students in Ceramics 1 have been working diligently on creating gargoyle sculptures. They were advised to look up inspirational pictures and replicate it as closely as possible. Mr. Hepburn taught the students various techniques and skills to make these sculptures detailed and unique. This was a fun project for the students because it allowed them to collaborate and embrace their creativity! Mr. Hepburn stated, “This project served as a good introductory level to help students learn the material and build skills for future projects in ceramics.” Additionally, Mr. Hepburn also has an interest in creating gargoyles, and he wanted to bring that interest into the ceramics classroom. The students worked hard on their final projects!
