After last week’s Club Fair, the Bake Club got a ton of sign ups!! Approximately 59 students showed interest in this culinary club, and Bake Club President, Sophie Toma, is thrilled. She was asked three questions for insight on why she started Bake Club, what she’s hoping to accomplish through it, and something she wants club members to know.
In response to why she started this club, she said, “I have really liked baking since I was little, and my mom was sick of eating all of the cookies and pies I was making each week. Bake Club gives me an excuse to bake and try new foods!” When asked what she’d like to achieve with these meetings, she replied by saying, “I want people to get more comfortable in the kitchen and not be afraid to experiment. By the end of the year, I would like for each member to have a signature recipe that they have mastered. Lastly, Sophie wants all club members to have fun with it, and not to be afraid to be creative.
Linsly has a diversity of clubs, and Bake Club is just one of many. We as students just can’t wait to see what all these clubs have to offer!
