On Tuesday, October 2, the Cadet’s Varsity Volleyball team battled the Barnesville Shamrocks in a close 5-set match at home. The Cadets also had their annual breast cancer awareness game where they held a bake sale, made signs, and wore pink jerseys to raise money for the cause. The Cadets won this thrilling game after losing the first two sets 14-25 and 18-25. The student section hyped up the crowd, and the team started the third set with a newfound energy. They won the next sets 25-21, 26-24, and finished the game 15-7. Notable mentions are Elle Ranney scoring the last point of the game with a significant kill, Avery Sadlowski with 22 kills, Ava Gainer with 18 kills, Sophia Flanigan with 28 assists, and Katerina Spanos with 14 digs and 8 kills!
Additionally, the team raised a total of $665 for breast cancer. Congratulations to the volleyball team on a great night!
