Linsly’s 8th grade class had the opportunity to visit Washington D.C. this March for their class trip! The trip was chaperoned by Mr. Kiedaisch, Mrs. Allison, Mrs. Lewis, and Mrs. Babb. They had a busy three days which included visiting the Arlington National Cemetery, National Archives, Pentagon, Jefferson Memorial, Washington Monument, Ford’s Theater, Native American Museum, and the Holocaust Museum. The class was even able to see a play at Ford’s Theater.
Mrs. Allison explains:
“The most moving thing we saw in D.C. was the Holocaust Museum. Some students even had the opportunity to talk to a survivor of the Holocaust which was very impactful.”
Students Emma Dean and Easton Mace say they both enjoyed being with their friends and had a great time. Emma says the highlight of the trip was the Smithsonian Museum.
“It was amazing to see the history of animals before I was alive. The dinosaur exhibit was my favorite part of the museum.” Easton says, “The place you have to see when you go to D.C. is the Jefferson Memorial at sunset.”
Lastly, Mrs. Allison and the 8th grade class want to thank Mr. Kiedaisch for all his hard work organizing an amazing trip!
