New Internships Provide Exciting Opportunity for Linsly’s Junior Class

Leadership is a class provided at the Linsly School for all upper school students to participate in every three school days.  This class occurred last school year, however, many Linsly faculty members came together to advance this course, specifically for the Junior class, in a unique and beneficial way. Linsly’s current Junior class has been given the opportunity to experience many different real life internships throughout the school, in which they learn from adults in many different professional fields as well as use their leadership skills to complete projects, research, and create initiatives. Job descriptions for each internship were formally presented by faculty members to the Junior class at the beginning of the school year. After listening to each job description, students were able to select an internship in which they will participate in throughout the whole first semester, until rotating to their second internship for Semester 2.

The internships that were presented include:

  • Admissions Event Coordinator
  •  Alumni Office Intern
  •  Aladdin Food Service: Food and Beverage Trainee
  •  Athletic Team Student Assistant
  •  Athletic Historian
  •  Linsly Athletics Social Media Content Creator
  •  Athletics Game Day Coordinator
  •  Maintenance for Buildings and Grounds
  •  College Counseling Office Intern
  •  Linsly Academic Social Media Content Creator
  •  Information Technology Assistant for Teachers
  •  International Ambassador
  •  Linsly Day Camp Coordinator Intern
  •  Supporting and Managing the Internship Program
  •  Student Library Assistant
  •  Residential Life Intern

As the Junior class dives deep into their internship roles, they would like to thank the Linsly faculty members who have provided them with this wonderful opportunity. These students feel lucky to have access to such a wide variety of real life job experiences and are grateful for the groundwork that this is setting for their futures. The Junior class looks forward to continuing the development of their current projects and are excited to see how they will contribute to the betterment of the Linsly community as a whole.
