On the weekend of February 24th-26th, members of the Linsly Varsity Swim Team successfully competed at the Eastern Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Meet. The meet welcomed competitors from private boarding schools all along the east coast. Linsly was represented by Anna Norman, Maddalena Tibaldo, Alejandra Sopena, Liv Torner, Lorenzo Serotini, Turkka Pennanen, John Papadimitriou, Asier Doval, Parker Griffith, Sarah Coha, and Henrietta Löfgren.
Both the girls and the boys set school records during this competition. Norman, Torner, Sopena, and Tibaldo participated in the girls’ 200-yard medley relay, setting the school record with a final time of 1:53.36. The same group defeated a second school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:42.40. The boys’ 200-yard freestyle relay team, made up of Pennanen, Papadimitriou, Doval, and Serotini, also set a new school record. They ended with a time of 1:30.53. Overall, the team placed 21st out of 39 total teams. Individually, the girls finished in 18th and the boys took 16th place. These students strongly wrapped up their swim season, and set new records for future Cadets to challenge in the coming years. Congratulations to this group of swimmers!
