Linsly’s newest sports team, bowling, took on their rivals at the lanes on February 15th. Central and Linsly competed against each other to claim the title of the best team in Wheeling. Chyanne Delong and Tommy Turak led both the girl’s team and the boy’s team to victory! According to Mrs. Cunningham, the coach of both teams, Chyanne and Tommy have been the most valuable assets to the team all season. These two bowlers helped their teams to not only win, but destroy their competition by defeating Central by over 250 points each. Mrs. Cunningham is grateful to end the third year of the bowling team at Linsly by “Self-declaring the Linsly teams to be the city champions.” Without Nick Earls, Chelsea Och, and Juanita Garcia, who are seniors who have all been on the team since it originated, the teams would not be as successful and full of energy as they were this past season. The team is looking forward to continuing their bowling careers next winter. Congratulations to the boys and girls teams for their victory over Central!
