A Tribute to the Extravaganza
Charlie Allison
“If you punch yourself and it hurts, are you weak or are you strong?”
Hi everyone, I’m Charlie Allison from Washington, Pennsylvania. Throughout my entire Linsly Career, I have participated in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and tennis, along with the middle school plays, newspaper, Drug Free Club, and more! I plan to attend Clarion University to pursue my academic career, as well as my athletic volleyball career in the fall. The thing I have loved most about Linsly is the family-oriented community with such a diverse group of students. I will miss seeing my friends everyday, as well as riding with my mom in the mornings to school.
My favorite Extravaganza memory is repeated every year… I absolutely love the rush I get, and I think I can speak for many students, when it is finally your turn to go on stage and Mrs. Foose is directing you, and she finally yells, “FREEZE!” There is no better feeling than knowing that all your hard work and preparation for the performance is about to pay off.

Anthony Andy
“Since there is only one of me, does that make me limited edition?”
Hi, I’m Anthony Andy. I have enjoyed my years at Linsly. The best part of Linsly is the people. The teachers care about us, the faculty are like family and the students are a diverse group of friends. I enjoyed playing football, lacrosse and swimming.
My favorite Extravaganza moment took place in 2019 when I waved to Mrs Foose in the middle of the show while performing. Some of my favorite costumes over the last 8 years was my fifth grade elephant costume and sophomore year when I had tattoo sleeves! I always enjoyed the Extravaganza.

Hi, I’m Geno. I am a four year varsity golfer and two year varsity swimmer. I have decided to further my academic career at the University of Northwestern Ohio, where I will major in automotive technology.
My favorite Extravaganza memory was when Doc Mallow came out on stage during our fifth grade act!

Hi, I’m Vivian. I like to do art and theater in and outside of Linsly. I plan to major in Art Education and minor and Theater, and later become an art teacher.
My favorite Extravaganza memory would be either our seventh grade skeleton act or dressing up as a hippie for last year’s show.
– Vivian Bloomfield
Steven Felton
“Sometimes it takes me all day to get nothing done.”
I’ve been at Linsly since the fifth grade and I’ve been a prefect the past two years. I am a captain of football, wrestling, and track teams.
My favorite Extravaganza memory is trying to steal the show every year, but then being able to go have fun with my friends in the balcony afterwards.
– Steven Felton
Liza Fletcher
“Why do drive-up ATMs have braille?”
My name is Liza Fletcher. I have been a part of the track and field team for the past three years of high school, breaking the school record for throwing shot-put my sophomore year. I am unsure where I am attending, but I am interested in studying business and finance in college. The thing I will miss the most about my time at Linsly is seeing my closest friends every day.
My favorite Extravaganza memory was in seventh grade when our class danced to Celebrate by Pitbull and we were dressed as skeletons. That was one of the best dances I have been a part of because our whole class was very in sync and prepared.

Why do they call it “getting your dog fixed” if afterwards it doesn’t work anymore?
Hi, my name is Lourdes and I have played basketball here since 5th grade and have cheered all throughout high school. I plan on attending West Virginia University and majoring in Occupational Therapy. I am truly grateful for the 8 years that I have been fortunate enough to spend at Linsly.
Extravaganza is by far my favorite part of the school year and I am very sad that we cannot participate this year. Mrs. Foose is truly a legend. My favorite Extravaganza memory would be our 7th grade act as skeletons dancing to Pitbull’s “Celebrate.”

Samuel Gorence
“If people from Poland are called Poles, why aren’t people from Holland called Holes?”
I’m not sure where I want to attend college but I plan on majoring in some form of Engineering. In my free time, I love to cook and read about the Cleveland Browns.
My favorite Extravaganza memory is our fifth-grade year because it was my first time on a big stage and I was super nervous. Nevertheless, I enjoyed spending time with our class and watching everyone perform. It was truly a night to remember!

Lucas Hillebrand
“Why is it every time I close my eyes I can’t see?”
Hi, I am Lucas Hillebrand, better known as Luke. I am a senior and I really enjoy swimming. I also really like to hangout with my friends.

Shane McCready
“Why are elderly people often called ‘old people’ but children are never called ‘new people?'”
I run cross country and I am on the swim team. I have been playing the trumpet in the school band since 5th grade, and I plan on attending the Ohio State University to major in biology and later attend the School of Veterinary Medicine.
My favorite memory from Extravaganza was playing Enter Sandman by Metallica with my high-school band.

Blake McNeely
“Whiteboards are remarkable.”
Aloha. I’m Blake. As we all are, I’m excited to graduate! My favorite subject is English, and I hope to pursue a future in business. I’m still undecided on where I’m going to college. Aside from running some businesses, I enjoy being on the speech team; I am the head editor of The Linsly Line.
Of course, all of Extrav was great, but my favorite Extravaganza memory is being back stage with the comedy team during rehearsals and before the show. I joined the comedy team freshman year, and continued through junior year. Excitement would build before our act, and we certainly thought we were funny! I think we had a great group of people, and we all worked really well together.
– Blake McNeely
Phillip Redford
“If we aren’t suppose to eat food at night, then why is there a light in the refrigerator?”
My name is Phillip Redford. I am from Wheeling, WV, and a long time Ohio State Fan!
My favorite Extravaganza memory was the Greatest Showman opening act. It was hands down the best opener in Linsly history, and with our hard work and dedication it all payed off!
– Phillip Redford

My name is Emma Robinson and I’ve been attending Linsly since 5th grade. Throughout my years I have played volleyball and softball and I’ve also managed the wrestling team. I’m so grateful for all the friends and memories I’ve made at Linsly.
