Brinley Steen in the Spotlight

Brinley is a role model for not only the Linsly School, but also the Ohio Valley community. Mr. Wallace, Ms. Leone, and Coach Upton have all served as role models to her by reminding her to always work hard and be herself. Brinley has mastered these qualities through modeling and sports.

She helps to influence her community by being on the Fashion Advisory Board at the Ohio Valley Mall, helping with anti-bullying conventions, and volunteering for craft days for children. Brinley also volunteers at the Miracle League to give young kids sports lessons. Although Brinley has many achievements within the Ohio Valley community, she also has achieved several things within the Linsly School.

Throughout cheerleading, basketball, and track, Brinley has made many memories and earned awards such as the Coaches Award for both track and basketball and Field Event Athlete of the Year for track. Brinley says, “My favorite Linsly memory is winning track OVAC’s my sophomore year, which was my first year at Linsly. I will always remember this because our team worked hard and our coaches had the best strategies to make sure we would come out on top! The boys’ team won that year too, so it is even more memorable.”

Although she has enjoyed her time at Linsly, she is excited for her future plans that consist of continuing her modeling and acting career while earning college credits online. Brinley’s advice to all future Cadets is to take opportunities, be kind, and stay true to oneself!
