Ms. Courtnie Barrows currently instructs Upper School students in Spanish 2, 3, 4, and 5 level classes. She has taught at Linsly since late 2019. Ms. Barrows’ other roles at the school include serving as one of the coaches for the bowling and softball teams. She also teaches private lessons for softball and played softball herself in college.
Although Ms. Barrows is from California, she attended and earned her education certificate and BA in Spanish from Wheeling Jesuit University (now Wheeling University) and has lived in the eastern U.S. for a decade. Before coming to Linsly, she taught Spanish at a North Carolina high school.
Ms. Barrows’ hobbies include hiking with her family, taking her dogs for walks, and traveling, as well as her coaching positions at Linsly and her private lessons. As for a fact to share with her students, she has a young daughter who will turn two in March.
