The Linsly Cross Country team wrapped up an eventful and successful season last weekend at Buckeye Local High School for the OVCCL meet. Almost every Linsly athlete ran a personal best. Both seniors, Trey Goddard and Joseph Nodurft, made an excellent finish to their running careers. The team enjoyed great moments and had great memories, which they will cherish for the rest of their lives when looking back at their Linsly Cross Country journey.
Besides the OVTTL, the Cross Country Team was always hard at work. Every weekend, beginning in August, the Cadets competed in a meet. Many of the runners couldn’t believe the season just ended. The two remaining underclassmen boys wished they could have at least one more meet with their Seniors before they left. After all athletes ran, the boys team celebrated their success with a trip to the Dairy Jean.
Overall, the team had a great season with many preseason goals reached and newly bonded friendships. These runners will be looking forward to next year’s season and the new challenges to come.
