The Linsly Line September Athletes of the Month

Congratulations to The Linsly Line September Athletes of the Month, Braden Wade and Sophia Flanigan!

The male Linsly Line Athlete of the Month is Braden Wade. Braden is the starting quarterback for the football team, and has been a starting player since his sophomore year. Braden believes that this season, his senior season, has brought new motivation to perform at his highest level. Recognizing that this is his last year with the team, he gives every game all that he has. Football has always been prominent in Braden’s life, as he has been playing since he was six years old. Throughout his years on the team, Braden has acquired many fond memories and valuable lessons. In his first game starting sophomore year, he led the team to victory and still remembers the emotions of the game vividly. Through experiences like this, he has learned what it takes to be a leader, and to find success through his responsibilities. Ultimately, his hard work has paid off. Recently, Braden was named the DeFelice Brothers Pizza Scholar Athlete of the Week. He also has received offers from numerous universities over recent months. Still, Braden has remained focused on his education above all. He plans on attending West Liberty University next fall, where pursuing a career in the medical field will be his top priority. Best of luck to Braden in his final season of Linsly Football!
