Head Prefect Spotlight – Elaina Pusz

Elaina Pusz is from Wheeling, West Virginia, and started at Linsly in 5th grade. As head prefect, Elaina makes announcements at Monday Morning Meetings, acts as a liaison between the students and faculty, and helps organize the prefects and their committees.

Elaina has been involved in many activities and groups in her time at Linsly. She is on the girls’ soccer team, is head of the National Honor Society Service Committee, and editor of The Linsly Line. She also has participated in school plays.

In her free time, Elaina enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going outside, and watching Dancing with the Stars with her grandparents.

Elaina’s favorite thing about Linsly is the opportunities and support. She says:

“There are so many avenues to find your niches, and I have been able to find mine through the research opportunity from Dr. Edinger. No matter what your interests are, you can find something for you here, and I think that is rare. Not only can you find your interests, but you will be supported to grow them.”

After Linsly, Elaina plans to study either neuroscience or biology. She hopes to attend medical school and become a physician.
