Last week, members of the National Honor Society went to Wheeling Country Day School to read to their Kindergarten and 1st graders. Linsly students split up into groups and read children’s books to the students as well as did an activity with them! This encouraged young students to have a desire for reading and created meaningful interactions between the students. Additionally, this was a fun and engaging way to connect the two schools and help grow a community within them. With this being a huge success and many young students asking to read more, Linsly NHS students hope to make this a regular initiative to help spread literacy!
