The Oglebay Institute School of Dance is putting on another production this December. This holiday season, the dance students are performing their rendition of The Nutcracker. The students Analise Baker, Claire Carson, Sydney Gilman, Marlee Smith, and Cecilia Sweeney are all performing in the production. The story of The Nutcracker is about a little girl named Clara, who is gifted a nutcracker at her Christmas party. She then falls asleep with the help of the sugar plum fairy and dreams of her and her nutcracker going through different stages of her dream together. Clara experiences a battle, a land of snow, travels through different countries, a candy land, and a land of flowers. This show will be available to watch at the Oglebay Mansion on December 15, at the Towngate Theatre on December 18th, 19th, 20th, and 22nd, and finally at the Wilson Lodge in the Glessner Auditorium on December 23rd. Each ticket is $20 per person. We hope to see your support of these dancers and you’re in for a great show!
