Upper School’s Production of “The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood”

Last Thursday and Saturday, talented Linsly Upper School students shared the production of “The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood.” This play showcased the hard work and talent of 19 students, many of whom were new to theater. Their dedication was evident in each performance. Congratulations to all the students involved! A special thank you goes to the art department and DTE, whose generous contributions helped fund medieval costumes.

Mrs. Bond states, “I wanted them to reflect the medieval theme, and the support we received was a blessing.”

In addition to the costumes, Mrs. Bond enhanced the script with musical numbers, including “Men in Tights” and “Greensleeves,” allowing each member to showcase their singing abilities. Behind the scenes, a team worked to bring the production to life. Mr. Holt assisted with set design, Mrs. Weir painted the backdrop, Mr. Hepburn made the hats, and Ms. Cooper served as the assistant director. Their collaborative efforts were crucial to the show’s success. The kitchen staff also contributed by providing refreshments, and Mr. Dodd managed seating.

Mrs. Bond shared, “Hearing the audience’s laughter was a joy, and it felt like a collective victory for everyone involved.”

Congratulations once again to the cast and crew for a wonderful production!
