This weekend the Cadets girl’s varsity volleyball team played 3 matches at Wheeling Park High School. The team was there from 9 am to 4 pm and fought hard against Magnolia, Parkersburg South, and Wheeling Park.
In the match against the Magnolia Blue Eagles, the Cadets dominated with a score of 2 games to 0. After losing the first game to Wheeling Park, the Cadets came back strong and won the match 2-1. New student Laura Carbonell Villegas played strong at the net with powerful spikes. Their final match took place against Parkersburg South and they prevailed with a score of 2-0.
Junior player Sophia Flanigan states, “We kept playing our hardest and worked as a team.”
