Languages Celebrate New Members into Their Honor Societies at Annual Ceremony

This past Sunday, April 30th, the new members of the National World Language Honor Society were inducted. To qualify for membership, students must have a 93% overall unweighted grade average for all previously studied levels of one specific World Language. Additionally, students must have no academic infractions. This ceremony is a celebration of the advanced study of different languages and cultures. Its purpose is to recognize the involvement of high school students and commend them for their commitment to their studies. 

In Spanish, Brianna Ghaphery, Trey Prather, Ilona Rissanen, Matthew Turak, Braden Beckett, Alayna Cook, Carson Gessler, Tessa Moore, Sophia Murray, Katerina Spanos, Grace Balzano, Haylen Cook, Sidney Esposito, Peyton Florence, Addison Grubler, Alexander Michalo, Dillon Wilson, Roi Gerson, Asher Higham, Elle Ranney, Supasinee Siripun, Matteo Guzzo, Marly Doughty, and Arabella Andy were acknowledged. 

In French, Analise Baker, Avery Riesbeck, Ian Sincavich, Payton Hill, Marlee Smith, Alana Inthirath, Alaina Toplovich, and Reese Maroney were all inducted. 

In German, Jessica Nissley, Rocco D’Aquila, Rachel Edinger, Colby Gibbons, Jessica Lehrke, Dylan Lucas, Olivia Rosenthal, Rachel Rutherford, Mathew Scouvart, and Evan Zido were all recognized. 

All of these students have worked hard in their World Language classes the entire year. They will continue participating in their language courses in the following school year!
