This past season, the Linsly Girls Varsity Softball Team went 9-8, traveling all the way from Toronto to Oak Glen and Weir. Their best game was when the team played against their rival, Martins Ferry. The team has not won against Martins Ferry for the past 5 years, and the game went into 2 extra innings, ending with a great victory of 10-9 for the Cadets. The team had 3 seniors this year: Baeleigh Burwell, Olivia Doty, and Lourdes Tomás. They honored their seniors this past week by having their own ceremony and playing an inner squad game! The girls season went by quickly, and many games had to be moved or canceled due to the weather conditions. Overall, the varsity softball team played tough opponents and had some great victories creating a great bond between all of the girls. Great season ladies!
