Wheeling, W.Va. — To combat the current challenges arising regarding the Coronavirus, The Linsly School has migrated their newspaper, The Linsly Line, to a more accessible, online format.
A Note From the Editor
Long has The Linsly Line, our school’s printed newspaper, been esteemed by students with a passion for journalism. For years, we’ve partnered with The Intelligencer to distribute multiple editions to the student body each year. Our staff was presented with a new challenge this year.
The Coronavirus has caused uncertainty regarding in-person education. For the safety of the Linsly Community, the school is expected to shift between in-person and online learning throughout the 2020-2021 school year. The Linsly Line responded to this call to action positively by migrating to an online format.
Not only does the newspaper’s website bridge connection during the Coronavirus, but it also creates a more rapid delivery of up-to-date information, reduces the carbon footprint, and creates a greater reach for the institution. The staff of The Linsly Line hopes to deliver updates regarding athletics and student life, in addition to addressing the vital impacts on education that have emerged as a result of the circumstances of 2020.
All students of the Upper School are encouraged and welcome to join our staff. Both journalistic and creative works will be featured. New articles will be published almost every morning. Feel free to check back for new articles 24/7/365.
