On Friday, February 17th, the Middle School Leadership Council hosted a wonderful pink themed dress-down day and fundraiser for the entire school to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day. Upon entrance to the building, each student donated money to the American Heart Association. The total amount of money raised was just under $400. Students were then given a random act of kindness that they were encouraged to complete before the school day ended. As a way to engage the student body further, the Middle School Leadership Council came up with a fun activity that included kids guessing the number of candy in a candy jar. The closest guess was made by Caroline Martin who was later gifted the jar of candy!
Linsly’s celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Day was full of so many smiles. Gratitude surrounded both the students and faculty throughout the entire day. Linsly feels lucky to have the bright students of the Middle School Leadership Council who put so much time into bettering the school with each small act of kindness.
