This past Friday was College Decisions Day, where most colleges require you to make your final choice and enroll. We’ve asked some of our seniors about their college decisions, and here are their responses!
Sydney Burke – Barnard College
Who doesn’t love New York? Sydney likes the small, homey vibes of Barnard with the resources and support of a large university. The scenic location and proximity to larger schools were definitely important factors in her decision. Good job and good luck, Sydney!
Kathrynn Applegarth – Kent State University
Kent read Kent write Kent State? Not anymore! Katie has committed to Kent State with an intention for philosophy and language arts education. It’s now or never. Katie is a leader in the Provost Leadership Academy. Not only is the education good, but it’s also affordable!
Elaina Pusz – Miami University
Big school, big future. Elaina plays hard and works even harder; our head prefect is excited for the extensive academic programs and research opportunities! The 10th-oldest school in the US does not disappoint when the wisdom also comes from the pre-med advisors. You got this, Elaina!
Reese Maroney – Miami University
Love and honor those around you: there is nothing more perfect for Reese. A loving community with lots of clubs and involvement is ready to greet her with open arms, but the business school won’t know what hit them. We love a business-savvy diva!
Claire Carson – Clemson University
Go Tigers! Claire loves fun and loves animals even more. The sense of community is unmatched, with school pride coming out on top. Not only is it fun and encouraging, but it’ll also set her up for success. Best of luck, Claire!
Congratulations to the class of 2026 on their college decisions!
