The Linsly Cadet baseball team is getting ready to start the 2026 season, and there’s already a lot of excitement around the program! With strong hitters and solid pitching, the Cadets are looking forward to a competitive spring.
Some of the team’s best hitters this year include Jaxon Murray, Dom Fato, and Chris Upton, who are expected to make big contributions at the plate. Their offensive production will be an important part of the Cadets’ success this season.
On the mound, Tucker Doty is expected to play a major role as one of the team’s pitchers. Donavan Jones and Preston Hartley are also expected to be seen on the mound.
A new addition to the team is junior Kolson Ludolph, who recently joined Linsly. Ludolph is expected to thrive in the outfield and bring strong defensive play to the team.
The varsity roster has not been finalized yet, as coaches are still evaluating players. The team has scrimmages scheduled for Friday and Monday, which will help the coaching staff make final decisions and allow players to gain some early game experience.
The Cadets will open their season on March 18 at home against Parkersburg South.
The team is led by Head Coach Jay Cartwright, with Assistant Coach David Phillips and Zack Taylor [Linsly class of 2021] helping guide the program. The junior varsity team will be coached by Joey Seabright.
With the season quickly approaching, the Cadets are working hard to prepare and are hoping to start the year strong.
