The National Honor Society has worked hard this past semester with 3 different committees. In one committee, the pen pals has been working on writing letters back and forth with the 5th and 6th graders. These letters were created to give the middle schoolers upper school mentors and someone to talk to throughout the school year. These letters include the committee members asking questions about the middle school students’ favorite sports, activities, school subjects, and snacks. After writing and responding to letters, the NHS created goody bags and Thanksgiving-themed coloring pages to decorate the 5th and 6th grade students’ lockers. As the year goes on, committee members will continue to send more of these letters and fun gifts; doing this provides an opportunity for upper and lower schools to be able to connect and create an even stronger Linsly Community!
