Oglebay’s Production of Hansel and Gretal

This past month, dancers Analise Baker, Claire Carson, Sydney Gilman, Marlee Smith, and Cecilia Sweeney performed in the Oglebay Institute School of Dance’s production of Hansel and Gretal. Oglebay’s version of Hansel and Gretal is about two siblings who leave home and run into a witch who tries to eat them. On the way, they go into a happy and evil forest and eventually overcome the witch, throw her into the oven, and finally find their way back home. These dancers performed 10 productions of Hansel and Gretal all throughout October, with hours of practice. Although this production of Hansel and Gretal is over, these dancers will perform The Nutcracker and welcome anyone to go support them in December!

Congratulations to these dancers who put on an amazing performance!
