The junior high boys basketball teams have been working really hard over the past couple of weeks. So far, the 7th grade team has a record of 6-3, while the 8th grade team’s record is 11-2. Their coach, Doug Tush, remarked that:
“Every player has contributed to the success of the junior high boys basketball program and is looking to compete in the BMC basketball tournament.”
Though it has not been easy, both teams have currently made their way up to the #1 seed in the upcoming BMC Championship. The tournament will take place January 25th at Linsly. Come out and show your support to the 7th and 8th grade boys!
The junior high girls basketball teams have also been successful in their seasons so far. The 7th grade team is currently 8-2, and the team averages 20.8 points per game. Emma King averages just over 10 points per game, while Luchia Fato averages 5 and Ariah Zervos averages 4.5. Similarly, the 8th grade team has a record of 11-2, and the team averages 35 points per game. Bella Fitzsimmons is their highest scorer, averaging 20.6 points per game. Emma Dean follows in rank averaging 8 points per game. BMCs will begin the 25th for the girls as well, and both the 7th and 8th grade teams should be the #1 seed in the tournament.
Good luck to all of the middle school teams as they continue through their seasons!
