Linsly Boys Basketball Team Wins OVAC 3A Championship Game

On Saturday, February 12th, the Linsly boys basketball team defeated the River Pilots in the O.V.A.C. championship game at Harrison Central High School in Cadiz, Ohio. In an intense, nail-biting game, the Linsly boys excelled on the court and performed their best. Starters Raef Wykes, Caleb Murray, Carter Anderson, George Donovic, and Nathan Coleman came out strong and gave Linsly the edge they needed to secure the win. Alongside the cheerleaders, Linsly students, dressed in black-out themed apparel, turned out to support the team and cheered them on loudly and enthusiastically! The encouragement from the student section and from the fans surely helped the boys achieve this win! After a close and hard fought game, the final score ended up to be 55-39. Following the win, the team received gold medals and accepted the coveted O.V.A.C. trophy. The MVP award was given to junior Gavin Jackson for his excellent performance. Congrats to Gavin on receiving this impressive award and to the team on this well-deserved win!
