On November 25th, Thanksgiving day, Mr. Martin and Mrs. D’Aquila invited dormers who stayed on Linsly campus during break to attend a homemade Thanksgiving dinner.
Mr. Martin prepared a hearty Thanksgiving meal that consisted of turkey, stuffing, cornbread, lasagna, and macaroni and cheese. This year was many of the students’ first year at Linsly, and many had not celebrated Thanksgiving before. This experience was very memorable experience for them.
After dinner, everyone got together and played some games, and Mrs. D’Aquila prepared fun prizes for the winners of Bingo.
Brooke Zhu and Kin Dai taught Mr. Martin uses of poker to play the special Chinese card game “Fighting Landlords.” As a master of probability, statistics teacher Mr. Martin earned his first victory in just a few rounds.
